Frequently asked questions.
What does a sport psychology consultant do?
A sport psychology consultant works with individuals or teams on the mental aspects of sport, performance and exercise. This can involve performance improvement, building confidence, coping with pressure, returning from injury, competition nerves and transitions (e.g., into retirement or from amateur to professional).
How do I book a session?
Please fill in the contact form on the services page or send an email. I will get back to you within 48 hours to set up an initial session. Sessions usually last 50 minutes and on average, a client tends to work with me for 6 to 8 sessions with one every couple of weeks or so.
Do you only work with athletes?
No! I work with all sorts of people from musicians to actors to business executives to school sports teams to keen amateurs, all the way up to elite athletes. Anyone who wants to improve their performance, their mental health and enjoy their sport and exercise can benefit from psychological support.
How much are sessions?
I currently only have a few individual slots left for new clients. Due to increasing demand I am pricing all new clients at £300 per session. This is likely to increase during 2024. All payment is to be made via bank transfer in advance.
Do you run group/team workshops?
Yes. I run interactive group workshops for schools, teams or business on a range of topics. These can be on a specific area of sport psychology (e.g. managing emotions, coping with race day nerves, confidence, motivation) or can be bespoke based on your specific team needs. The sessions usually last about 90 minutes. Pricing varies based on travel and time required but starts at £997.
